Description
Bushy St. John’s Wort’s vibrant yellow blooms form in dense clusters from late-May to July (hence the botanical name densiflorum!). These blooms are especially attractive to bees, making this shrub a beautiful addition to pollinator gardens. In autumn, the foliage turns golden yellow, and the smooth, bronze bark provides striking winter interest. It prefers medium to wet soil but can be very adaptable. St. John’s Wort performs well in rain gardens, rock gardens, as a shrub border, and along banks and slopes.
