  • Description

Drooping Laurel (Leucothoe fontanesiana) is an evergreen shrub that grows naturally in shady ravines, streambanks, and moist forested areas. It is often used as a specimen shrub or hedge in landscapes due to its graceful, long arching branches. The bell-shaped white flowers that grow in long clusters each spring attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Drooping Laurel’s leaves develop an attractive burgundy color in the fall, and during the winter its evergreen branches provide cover for wildlife.
