  • Description

Great Coneflower (Rudbeckia maxima) is a perennial showstopper that grows 5 to 7 feet tall. Its flowers have golden-yellow petals surrounding a large, brown central cone that can reach 2 to 6 inches tall. The beautiful silver-green basal foliage is made up of a dense cluster of long, wide, cabbage-like leaves.

Great Coneflower attracts butterflies and other pollinators, and we recommend keeping the stalks and coneheads intact after flowering to provide food for goldfinches and other birds.
