  • Description

Sweet Pepperbush (Clethra alnifolia) can be found naturally in marshes and stream banks, but will thrive in your garden and be a nutritious food source to the pollinators in your area. Its showy white, upright flowers are very fragrant and attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, native bees, and more. It spreads by suckering roots, and can be used as a pollinator-friendly hedge, or in a rain garden. In autumn, its foliage will turn lovely shades of gold and copper brown. Planting this species is a great way to help sustain and provide for our pollinator friends.
