Description
Green and Gold (Chrysogonum virginianum) is a semi-evergreen perennial that grows naturally in woodland areas. It is a low-growing groundcover that spreads to form an easily-controlled mat. The small yellow flowers bloom spring through fall, except in the southern part of its range where it will normally stop blooming in the heat of summer with a light rebloom in fall. The flowers attract native pollinators, and it is commonly used in garden edges and along walkways, in shade gardens, and in pollinator gardens.
