Virginia Sweetspire is a rounded, spreading, fragrant shrub. Coveted by bees and butterflies for its drooping spires of fragrant white flowers. Its arching branches hold leaves through the fall to prolong its beautiful autumn color. Sweetspire can be grown in a large variety of conditions due to its tolerance for shade, erosion, clay, and damp soil. It does quite well in a rain garden.
